What Tops Mark Zuckerberg's List in Science Books?
In 2016, Facebook Ceo, Mark Zuckerberg made it his mission to read one book every two weeks. While he read books from across various genres, these science books top his recommendation list.
1.The beginning of infinity by David Deutsch
Zuck’s take: It’s fitting to end the year with that book, and know
how we can explain things and how it unlocks possibilities.
2.The Structure of Scientific Revolutions by Thomas S Kuhn
Zuck’s take:It’s a history of science book that explores the question of
whether science and technology make consistent forward progress or whether
progress comes in bursts related to other social forces.
3. Genome by Matt Ridley
Zuck’s Take: This book aims to tell the
history of humanity from the perspective of genetics rather than sociology.
This should complement the other broad histories I have read this year.
4. Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari
Zuck’s take: When I read Sapiens, I found the chapter on the
evolution of the role of religion in life most interesting and I wanted to go
deeper on.
5. On Immunity by Eula Bliss
Zuck’s take: This book explores the reason why some people
question vaccines, and then logically explains why the doubts are unfounded and
vaccines are in fact effective and safe.
